Summary

Lower flammability limit of propane predicted from a limiting flame temperature of 1,600 K, for initial temperatures of 0 to 300 °C. Based on Beyler (2002b), p. 2-178.

Original illustration for Adiabatic flame temperature, level 4 Expert.

  • Source basis: Beyler (2002b), p. 2-178 (Example 2) and p. 2-177 (validity only without preflame reactions near the autoignition temperature)
  • Alt text: Line chart: the lower flammability limit of propane falls from 2.13 % at 0 °C to 1.65 % at 300 °C.
