Fse-stoichiometry-v3.svg (SVG file, nominally 900 × 600 pixels, file size: 8 KB)

Summary

The calculated stoichiometric concentration is distinct from methane flammability limits. Based on Beyler (2002), p. 2-172, and Van Rossum (2027), §§3.3 and 4.2.

Original illustration for Stoichiometry, level 3 Advanced.

  • Source basis: Beyler (2002), chapter 2-7, p. 2-172; Van Rossum (2027), §§3.3 and 4.2.
  • Alt text: Methane flammability range from 5 to 15 vol% with a separate calculated stoichiometric marker near 9.5 vol%.
  • Accuracy notes: Do not label the stoichiometric marker as an ignition threshold. Retain the conditions of the published limits and mark 9.5% as calculated.
