Summary

Original illustration for Upward flame spread, level 3 Advanced.
- Source basis: Quintiere (2002), pp. 2-246 and 2-252–2-253.
- Alt text: A feedback loop for upward growth has a competing burnout branch that reduces the active burning region.
- Accuracy notes: Do not imply that upward spread always accelerates or assign an unsupported constant multiplier to the loop.
